Although our main focus is to provide immediate needs assessment and relief following a disaster, our team at Sol Relief has evolved into long-term recovery and rebuilding efforts to support the Bahamian community and help build resilience post Hurricane Dorian. Working with a dedicated team of locals, non-profit partners, and generous donors, we have been able to help with the repair and construction of 167 homes and build 4 homes from the ground up mainly in the areas of Marsh Harbor and Green Turtle Cay. Just recently, April 25-May 8, the Sol Relief team and a group of exceptional New Smyrna Beach and St. Pete volunteers completed a 2-week rebuilding trip where we completed punch list items and built and painted hurricane shutters for the 4 homes that we constructed from the ground up with our team of local contractors. This was completed just in time for the start of the 2021 Atlantic Hurricane Season. Being able to serve these communities while helping them rebuild has been an immense joy and we are honored and humbled to be a part of it all.

We are proud to announce that the Bahamas COVID-19 Vaccine Rollout Campaign was a success! In conjunction with The Bahamian Ministry of Health and Versant Healthcare Solutions, Sol Relief and Four of our Incredible Volunteer Pilots, rolled out the COVID-19 vaccine to the Family Islands of the Bahamas the week of June 20-25, 2021. Together, our Team flew 48 flights, visited 20 remote clinic sites and administered thousands of vaccines over the course of 5 days. Versant Healthcare Solutions , which organized and provided seven nurses and two doctors to the Campaign, works to fundamentally transform healthcare outcomes by developing the professional nursing workforce’s ability to provide safe, efficient, competency-based care to their patients. Versant works to ensure that all nurses, in whatever capacity they practice, are able to perform safely. In addition, Versant has funded humanitarian relief missions in the Bahamas, the Greater Caribbean, Latin America, Africa, and Southeast Asia. We are honored to have been part of such an amazing mission to help the Bahamian people stay healthy and open back up to tourism. We are so grateful to Government of the Bahamas, the Rhode Island National Guard, the Versant Nurses and Doctors and our wonderful Pilots♥️
