HAITI EARTHQUAKE

Haiti Earthquake Disaster Relief

8/24/21 - Update:

On Sunday, 8/22/21, Sol Relief pilot, Kevin Barton, flew one of our nonprofit partners, Information Technology Disaster Resource Center (ITDRC), and their communications equipment from Ft. Worth, TX to St. Pete. Then on 8/23/21, four of the ITDRC Communications Engineers and Sol Relief Executive Director, Jennifer Lockwood, boarded a flight at PIE donated by one of our amazing supporters and flew to Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The ITDRC team will be in Les Cayes, Haiti setting up much needed emergency communications through the end of August. Sol Relief would like to thank Kevin Barton and our amazing donors for making this critical mission a reality!

8/18/21 - Update:

The water containers that were delivered on Sunday are being distributed and used to make 5,700 gallons of clean drinking water for the most vulnerable in the Haitian community.  We continue to work with our partners on the ground by supporting the flight coordination and logistics for their teams and supplies.  The situation on the ground is still dire and the people of Haiti are in need of help.  If you would like to support our efforts, please click the link below to donate today.

8/16/21 - Initial Haiti Earthquake Response

On Sunday, just 24 hours after a 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck the community of Haiti, Sol Relief, World Hope International, and Caribbean Partnership Missions flew their first relief  flight to the devastated area to deliver water containers. These containers will be delivered to the hardest hit areas and used to make clean drinking water for those in need.  With over 1300 people confirmed dead, more than 5000 injured, thousands left homeless and Tropical Depression Grace hampering relief efforts, the people of Haiti need our help!

Sol Relief is currently working with its partners to provide last mile flight logistics from Port-au-Prince to Jérémie and Les Cayes.  We will continue to assess the immediate needs of the Haitian community, provide logistics support to our partners, and work to provide the most efficient and effective relief following Saturday's earthquake. If you would like to support our efforts, please click the link below to donate today.  We are beyond grateful for the continued support of the community.
